Environmental Policy Statement
We understand and are committed to the ongoing development of environmental protection and we will replicate this commitment through our associates, employees and subcontractors ensuring that we all act appropriately towards environmental legislation and regulations and the continual improvement of the environmental process.
We aim at all times to improve our environmental performance, where possible prevent pollution, minimise and control our wastes.
We will ensure all our sites, offices and facilities comply with applicable legislation and act accordingly to environmental protection and improvement.
We will regularly review and upgrade our business processes and be open and honest with Government authorities and the communtiy on all environmental issues.
Accountability and Responsibility
All RailCon associates, employees and subcontractors are accountable and responsib le for environmental controls.
Education and Training
Railcon will educate and train all associates, employees and subcontractors to assist in developing the skills and knowledge requried to control environmental issue.
Fatigue Management – Policy Statement
RailCon recognises that fatigue is only one of many factors important to designing a “safe system of work”. RailCon as part of its overall commitment to the provision of ongoing maintenance and suport of a safe work place will actively work towards minimising the risks associated with fatigue in the workplace for all its associates, employees, clients and subcontractors.
We have prepared and are implementing a strategy for management of fatigue, safe hours of work and sufficient rest periods between works ensuring compliance of the OH&S Act 2000 and the Rail Safety Act 2002.
At RailCon, we believe that fatigue management is an integral component of safety at the workplace. We have a clear obligation to manage the fatigue of our people involved in the railway industry: it is all our responsibility to prevent potential or threatening issues arising from fatigue related situations.
All RailCon associates, employees, clients and subcontractors have a duty of care to ensure the heatlth and safety of themselves, colleagues and the general public.
We provide continual training to our people. Fatigue management is a consultative process and our people are encouraged to provide input to the ongoing developement of fatigue management.
Quality – Policy Statement
RailCon is dedicated to the quality of our services, ensuring that we always met the requirements of our clients and other stakeholders. Our goal is to achieve the highest level of client satisfaction at all times .

Rail Safety – Policy Statement
RailCon is fully dedicated and committed to the highest standards of Railway Safety. Ensuring that the safety of the public is not compromised, we provide a safe working environment for associates, employees, clients and subcontractors and an absolute assurance to the integrity and purpose of the railway and its safe operations.
- We will provide resources to monitor and audit Railway Safety controls.
- Communicate at all levels and train associates, employees and subcontractors to conduct operations in accordance with Railway Safety requirements.
- We will all ensure that hazards associated with Railway Safety are identified and managed prior to work commencing.
- At all times perform tasks in accordance with the Railway Safety practices
- All associates, employees and subcontractors are to provide suggestions and actively contribute towards improving safety practises.
RailCon is committed to the continual improvement in Railway Safety and performance. We maintain communications with all associates, employees, clients and subcontractors, any authorities and the community on Railway Safety operations.
Health and Safety – Policy Statement
RailCon recognises that Health and Safety is central to our business and is the important fundamental factor in designing a “safe system of work”. We are committed to the safety of all our associates, employees and subcontractors.
We achieve this by providing a safe place of work at all times, implanting safe work methods, utilising safe plant and euqipment and appropriately qualifiedd and experienced people in accordance with the OH&S Act 2000.
We must ensure that effective measures are in place to control hazards and risk, provide adequate facilites, equipment and protective clothing for the welfare of all associates, employees and subcontractors. We make available information, instruction, training and supervision necesasry to associates, employees and subcontractors to enable them to work in a healthy, safe and efficient way.
All our associates, employees and subcontractors are required to:
- Take reasonable care of themselves and others who may be affected by their actions.
- Co-operate with RailCon and assist in meeting the responsibilities of the OH&S Act 2000.
- Report any hazard, risk, incident or accident and any OH&S concerns to their supervisor or manager immediately
RailCon provides continual trianing to our people. Occupational Health and Safety is a consultative process and our people are encouraged to provide input to the ongoing development of a safe workplace.
